On your iPhone, open Settings → ShiftMaster → Location and choose Always, with Precise Location on. Start your shift on the Today tab. Saved sites are watched only while “Active (monitored)” is on, and iOS can watch up to 20 sites at once. Stops at places you haven’t saved are still logged, just without a name, and you can rename them in the Timeline.

Shift logging, the timeline, sites, reminders, media, widgets and backups are free. Reports, timesheets, invoices and Job ETA are part of ShiftMaster Pro. You can try them free for 30 days, then unlock them with a one-time purchase. There is no subscription and nothing is charged automatically.

Open Settings → ShiftMaster Pro → Restore Purchases while signed in with the same Apple ID you bought it with.

Job ETA reads job sheets with an AI service of your choice (Anthropic, OpenAI or xAI) using your own API key, so the provider bills you directly for what you use. Create a key on the provider’s website and paste it into Settings → Job ETA. Before the first screenshot is sent, the app shows exactly what will be shared and asks for your consent.

Settings → Data → Export backup (JSON) saves your shifts, timeline and sites as one file. Settings → Backup to SSD saves that file plus every photo, video and recording to a drive or a folder in the Files app. It only copies and never deletes anything. On the new iPhone, open Settings → Data → Restore from backup and pick the file. Photos and videos aren’t inside the JSON file, so share them into ShiftMaster again if you need them on the new phone.

Swipe a shift in the Timeline to delete it, or delete the app to remove everything from your iPhone. ShiftMaster has no servers and no accounts, so nothing is stored anywhere else.

ShiftMaster never runs continuous GPS. It relies on the low-power location services built into iOS: visits, regions around your sites and significant location changes.
