Is ShiftMaster free?
Shift logging, the timeline, sites, reminders, media, widgets, backups and Job ETA are free. Reports, timesheets and invoices are part of ShiftMaster Pro. You can try them free for 30 days, then unlock them with a one-time purchase of £12.99. There is no subscription and nothing is charged automatically.
Is it on Android or iPad?
No. ShiftMaster is iPhone only and needs iOS 17 or later. There's no Android, iPad, Mac or web version.
Which countries is it available in?
It's sold on the UK App Store only, and the app is in English.
Does it replace my tachograph?
No. ShiftMaster is a record-keeping and planning aid. It is not a tachograph and doesn't replace tachograph or any other legal records. Any break or ETA planning is an estimate.
Do I need an account?
No. There's no account, no login and no server. Everything you record stays on your iPhone.
Does it drain the battery?
ShiftMaster never runs continuous GPS. It relies on the low-power location services built into iOS: visits, regions around your sites and significant location changes. Settings → Battery dashboard shows your battery level through your last shift.
Do I have to keep the app open during a shift?
No. Tap Start Shift, then lock your iPhone or use other apps as normal. Please don't swipe ShiftMaster away in the app switcher during a shift: iOS may then stop waking it for location updates.
Does the shift start by itself?
No. You start and end shifts yourself on the Today tab. A site marked as your depot can suggest starting a shift when you arrive.
What does Job ETA cost?
ShiftMaster never charges for Job ETA. It uses your own API key from Anthropic, OpenAI or xAI, and that provider bills you directly for what you use. We recommend setting a monthly spending limit with the provider.
Can my manager or fleet see my data?
No. There's no manager or fleet dashboard, no multi-driver use and no sync between devices. Your data stays on your iPhone.
Can it import tachograph data?
No. ShiftMaster doesn't import tachograph data or create official tachograph records.
I bought Pro. How do I get it back on a new iPhone?
Open Settings → ShiftMaster Pro → Restore Purchases while signed in with the same Apple ID you bought it with.
How do I get a refund?
Payments go through Apple, so refunds are requested from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
